I defended my PhD! | Reza Safarzadeh

I am very happy to share that I just defended my PhD! After years of training AI models to choose smart routes for autonomous and heavy-duty vehicles, I can now officially confirm that my own PhD journey also converged — everything arriving exactly where it needed to be.

I’m grateful to my supervisor Dr. Xin Wang and to my committee members, Dr. Steve Liang, Dr. Emmanuel Stefanakis, Dr. Mario Nascimento, Dr. Yunli Wang, Dr. Lincoln Linlin Xu, Dr. Jason Hawkins; and everyone who supported me throughout this long trip. Just like any good model, I’m only as good as the people who trained me.
